Bio

Ariana Polyviou is a Lecturer at the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship and Digital Business of the Cyprus University of Technology. Previously she has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia, Adjunct Professor at IE Business School and visiting researcher at the LSE. Her research focuses on digital business strategy, digital transformation, technology policy, digital entrepreneurship, and technology decision-making. Her work has been published in journals including Journal of the Association of Information Systems and Journal of Information Technology. She is currently a member of the Editorial Boards of the European Journal of Information Systems and Behaviour & Information Technology. She has served on the Committees of the European (ECIS) and the Mediterranean (MCIS) Conference on Information Systems. over multiple years. She served as a co-principal institutional investigator or principal investigator in 20+ research projects funded by the European Commission, and she is a member of Cyprus’ national participation in Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). Her academic work has been recognized by the AIS Mid-Career Award and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship.
