Bio

Panayiota is a business lawyer with significant experience on local and cross border assignments in M&A, Reorganisations, Corporate and Commercial Legal Advisory, including capital raising and financing. She often advises on the legal aspects of structuring and organising transactions and has been cited by Legal500 for being “highly experienced and exceptionally knowledgeable” as noted by clients. She often works in the technology sector and has developed a strong background in Data and Digital laws and regulatory compliance. She is the appointed legal counsel of various tech companies in Cyprus assisting them throughout their cycles of capital raising, governance and regulatory compliance, and assisting them through their working cycle including with reference to communications with investors, financiers and workforce.  She also works with clients in the real estate sector, in defence and in the life sciences sector.

Panayiota is the KPMG Legal Services Sector Lead for TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications) in Europe, Middle East and Africa. She is a member and the appointed secretary of the Companies Law Committee of ICPAC, and has previously served as a special advising member to the Insolvency Committee of ICPAC. She is a member of both the International and the European Associations of Restructuring and Insolvency professionals. She has further acted as the legal expert in various governmental projects for legislative amendments, and she is currently the legal expert advising on the implementation of the AI Act in Cyprus.
